Count me in – why not make it April 1st – good for a laugh at least (and it is a Saturday). Obviously the meeting will have to be somewhere with a plentiful supply of beer. I suggest a pub 😉 – What about Dennehys on Cornmarket Street?
Pssst – shouldn’t someone tell Walter (Xanadb)?
I’m still reeling from my last botched attempt to organise something but I’ll gladly attend 🙂
damien your from cork. Damh i have to stop reading your blog now.
Unless of course you admit that tipp are the better team 🙂
I’ll come if you pay me flight!!
Although Im not from Cork and to be honest its the only place in Ireland I havent been too but I do plan to visit when I get back home!
I’m in but April 1st isn’t an option for me, that’s Munster’s 1/4 final in the HC so I’ll be up with the jackeens.
It would be interesting to meet. A quiet pub, gentile company, good ale.
Why don’t I think this isn’t what everyone else wants 😉 .
I’ll be working in Dublin around that time so I may not be down but a weekend in April would be good. I’m all for it though.
Count me in. Lucky I’m not Jewish or Branedy wouldn’t be happy 😉
No worries, Walter will be told.
Ted Ambers on the New Road in Bandon anyone? Dammit, ok, how about the only pub I’ve ever been in the city – The Long Valley? Anywhere else and I’ll need directions.
I’ll second the long valley suggestion (do they still do those doorstep sandwiches ?). We’re due our 2nd child around late march / early april so I’m not sure I’ll be able to attend but it sounds like a great idea.
So much for spell checkers, my Genteel friends.
Well as cork is in Munster and the 1/4 of the European Cup (Rugby – Damien) is on 1st of april, that any cork Blogger that like Rugby wont attend, and the pubs will be choc o bloc.
Am I allowed come if I’m in Cork the relevant weekend? I know I’m not based in Cork…but it’s where I’m from… pretty please?
[…] A group of bloggers in Cork are arranging a meetup in April. There’s a definite community feel with the bloggers in that area. I think this is something that really needs to develop in the North of Ireland as well. […]
Winds, of course.
Well the weekend of the 1st seems to be out for some – there’s loads of time between now and March 25th – anyone got any problems with that date?
Long Valley is fine with me too.
Any time works for me except weekend of Feb 24th, Easter and end of April.
I propose Reidy’s on Western Road. It’s fair big enough, and quiet enough, and there’s a space outdoors at the rear if the weather’s up to it.
Also it’s round the back of my house, but that’s just a coincidence.
