Just testing this out to see hot well it works and hopefully in time it can be added somewhere on Politics in Ireland. This searches through all the Irish Politics blogs I previously listed. Have a bash.
WTF. Hey Breaking News guys, SiteServ.net is a webdesign company, but SiteServ the scaffolding company also exists. I don’t think they have a website. It seems to be the scaffolding company that bought this other scaffolfing company. D’oh!
From BreakingNews.ie and Iol.ie and a few more places.
Web design copmpany Siteserv has announced the acquisition of formwork and scaffolding provider, Easy Access Limited.
Easy Access, which was established in 1992, is involved in the sale and hire of formwork and scaffolding products to the Irish market. It operates from sites at Clondalkin, Dublin, Tuam, Galway and Glanmire, Cork.
The consideration for the acquisition comprises an initial payment of €20m on completion, €17m of which will be in cash with the remainder being satisfied through the issue of 5,454,545 Siteserv ordinary shares at €0.55 each.
Deferred consideration of €3m will be payable in equal instalments of €1.5m in cash on the first and second anniversary of completion.
Additional amounts will be payable based on the financial performance and levels of growth in profitability of Easy Access over the next two financial years up to 30 April 2009.
The maximum additional consideration payable under these arrangements has been capped at €3m. Easy Access is being acquired on a debt-free/cash-free basis.
In the year ended 28 February 2006, Easy Access had turnover of €16.5m and earnings before interest and tax of €4.3m. Net assets at completion are expected to be approximately €8.2m.
The acquisition will be funded through Siteserv’s existing resources and additional borrowings of approximately €15m.
The Siteserv ordinary shares being issued as part of the consideration are subject to 12 month lock-up. Application will be made for the new ordinary shares to be admitted to trading on the IEX market of the Irish Stock Exchange and the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange.
Patrick Jordan, managing director of Easy Access, and his management team will remain with the business going forward. Patrick Jordan has also been appointed a director of Siteserv effective today.
and a screen shot, just in case:

As things start to ramp up for the Irish Blog Awards 2007, I thought it might be a good idea to do a census or a survey of who we are and how we go about what we’re doing. It will also be an additional way of getting some attention for the Blog Awards if it is released the week of the Awards. It might go some way to answer the who, the what and the where.
I’ve emailed a few bloggers on this and they’ve provided some fantastic questions to ask but the more input the better. What questions would you like to ask of Irish Bloggers? I was thinking that a survey of 30 questions at most is probably enough before people get tired/annoyed/bored of answering. There have been many complaints previously on surveys about Irish Bloggers, so for once, let the Irish bloggers dictate what will be in the survey.
Er, there isn’t such a category at the Blog Awards and that word is mank, but in time, you never know, there could be an award of that type. There are many Irish people who have done a lot to make podcasting popular in Ireland but in my personal view there’s one who was there at the start, spread the word to all who would listen, showed how it could be done, created countless podcasts on varying topics and really and sometimes annoyingly, evangelised the shit out of podcasting. Today, this week, this month he is still throwing lots of energy into showing the potential for podcasting.
Who’s this person? Well today he went off to collect a person of the year award while over in the UK. Now while some people made the damaging statement that I have an axe to grind with Bernie Goldbach and we have some old rivalry going on, I don’t think that is the truth at all. I’m still not into podcasting and still haven’t made my own podcast as I don’t have the energy and passion to do it (though I did buy a mic for recording recently) but Bernie and his utility belt weighed down with gadgets and his portable recording studio in the shape of a wheeled travel bag has energised Irish podcasting. He deserves recognition for what he has done for the Irish podcasting scene and maybe in time that’ll get reflected in more than inbound links to him.
I took the crap, the weird, the odd, the tack and the Christmassy and threw them together for this. The last video at the end of this post will play each video one after the other.
On the first day of Christmas,
