As ever I have a few more website ideas. Yes I know I have enough to do evolving this Mulley website and also doing the Mulley Genealogy website AND the Gay Teenage resource website but if I manage my time wisely I can do it. One idea is going to definetly happen. Its called The Dodgy List.

I used to post a lot of links to websites which contained lots of female eye candy on the Illuminati forum on boards. I get a lot of these links from a work colleague who gets them from his friends who .. etc.

Anyyyyyyyyyyyyways I don’t post on boards anymore but I do still want to pass all these links to my friends. So I was thinking of setting up a weblog like website where people can post their links and also maybe upload some scantidly clad pics as well.

I’m thinking blog cos it automagically creates rss feeds so people can just aggregate the website. It’d be handy too thought if it could be dumped out to a mailing list as well.

Something like boingboing does.

The other idea is a Information sharing thingy with possibly an Irish Twist. A kind of “anyone know where I can find ..” “anyone know how many” etc. Its only forumulating in my head at the moment but its probably going to be another blog/webforum thingy with an rss and email feed.

Must have a look at whats out there to compare.

Ooooh another idea is something which came out of the All Things Retro forum about sweets and chocs from days go=ne by and where you can purcahse them.

It’s be cool if I could gather together a list of everyones old time fav sweets and then give them each a webpage that lists where you can buy these sweets still.

Have a pics too of the shops you can get them from. With the rise of camera phones and all that it should become more frequent to have people take the pics.

Seems when you type in mulley into Google this site comes up first and the Mulley Genealogy website comes up in the top ten as well. I’m pretty happy with this.

I better start work on the .org website now. 🙂

Just back from Amsterdam. I’d like to go back soon. Work is busy busy busy and I’m going locking myself away into it. Starting at 7am and working until 7pm for the next few weeks.

I cut my ties with Boards.ie and the GayCork website today. I’m prioritising things and they are too wasteful of my resources right now.

So for me until Christmas its going to be work, driving test practice (test in Oct ) and studying and writing.

Forget Tommy Walsh from Ground Force Karlins the person for the job if you want them tiles done right in the Kitchen. Our own grouting grrrrrl.

Karlin is also doing an interview with Tom Murphy from boards.ie this Friday in the Irish Times. Yay boards.

… go “guess where we are cos we are never on time”

Was talking to Antoin on the #joiito channel recently and we talked about a system for tracking buses so ypu’d know where the fig they are. Irish buses are rarely on time and it would be good to know how many stops away the bus is. A very cheap vandal proof solution would be needed too.

My suggestion was a unique number on each bus stop and a number you texted and it would text you back the location of the bus. “Four Stops Away” This technology would work with either a gps system on the bus or some very easy system on the bus where the driver pressed something to give his location.

But as Antoin said and its very true the drivers and their managers might not want their location known as it could possibly highlight how bad the service is.

So then I thought that theres no need for the buses to do it. Power tp the people ! Everyone could participate by texting the number when the bus arrives with a code of ‘now’ or something and with the bus stop id. Then the database is updated and people can txt to see is a bus arriving soon.

Might be a good application of “people power” and using technology to get around bureaucracy.

I’m going to reg a few more .us domains. They’re cheap and you can have fun with them. Spamalicio.us would be a cool one I think. Pecario.us is taken as are loads of potentially funny ones. I have 3 now thought that I’m going for. Forgot my godaddy.com password and account id so I’ll buy them at home. Will post what they are once I reg them.

I own Mulley.net , Mulley.org , Mulley.info and now Mulley.us.

I’d like to get Mulley.com too but we’ll see. I want to make Mulley.org into an online Mulley Family Genealogy website or something where the various mulleys can go online and track their roots. I have some ideas for a genealogy website that I haven’t seen on the other ones. When I eventuallu perfect my php skills I’ll launch into it. Meanwhile Mulley.org will just have a forum where people can talk.

I’m delighted too in the fact that Mulley.net is showing up in 3rd place when you do a search for “Mulley”. I’d like Mulley.org to reach 1st place once I do some work on it. I’m confident I can get it to work. Or else get Kevin to do it.

Was looking at Jois blog today. Theres a cool new resource page that lists the online status of #joiito chan regulars as well as their blogs and most recent entries from said blog. UPDATE: And here is how he did it.

What I’d love from a News Aggregator is to have different categories which are stored in different files. So I can have a tab for rss feeds from #joiito regulars, a tab for all the Irish bloggers out there and a tab for all the other stuff I look at. Having them in different files would make it easier to distribute to others and you could make some nice blog rolly thingies too.

Was looking at the Archives of Elegant Hack and saw a book review for The Design of Sites: Patterns, Principles, and Processes for Crafting a Customer-Centered Web Experience Looks like an interesting enough book. Adding to my ever expanding wishlist.

Ok, time to get some clothes on, open the blinds and step into the world. Oh and get some food.
